Sorry Charles - you forgot you did not live at the ghetto. Oscar was a little back kid that hung around our apartment complex (probably 7 years old). His mother worked at the building across the parking lot.
Lance gave Oscar butterscotch candy one day. And for some reason Oscar went up stairs and spit this nasty viscous yellow substance on Richard Crenshaw's head while Wes Leonard and I just stood there and watched.
We could have warned him to move - but we did not. But I have never regretted my choice to remain silent.
